9/11 Remembrance - A Tribute to First Responders
Description
Dear Community Partners,
We hope you will join us on September 11th at 9:00 AM for a special community remembrance and tribute to the first responders of Surry, Yadkin, and Wilkes Counties.
We will gather at the flagpole on the lawn of the Yadkin Valley Heritage Center, 257 Standard Street, Elkin, NC 28621, for a brief time of remembrance as we mark 25 years since September 11, 2001.
Together, we will remember the first responders who sacrificed their lives that day while also recognizing and thanking the incredible men and women in our own communities who continue to serve with that same selfless spirit.
As part of the tribute, we will place small American flags on the lawn in honor of the police departments, sheriff’s offices, fire departments, and EMS organizations serving Surry, Yadkin, and Wilkes Counties.
This will be a simple but meaningful opportunity for our community to come together, remember those we lost, and show our appreciation for those who continue to answer the call to serve.
We sincerely hope you can join us.
We Remember. We Honor. We Thank.
